Self perception is an immersive and tangible world
Since I was a young boy I have traveled to hundreds, maybe thousands of pixelated landscapes. In many cases the action, the travel, or puzzle can feel as real as reading a great book, or movie.
As many glance and appreciate the beauty paintings or sculptures, I am learning to really appreciate the growth of video games as a true storytelling genre as it matures.
No longer are we merely observers of these mediums, but willing and eager participants, ready for adventures of a lifetime.
Are we controllers of the avatar or are we another elaborate avatar in itself? Infinite worlds, infinite pixels.
To each his/her own I suppose.
